Beach Get-Away

Given our summer of PSP, family visits, the Festival, & FaithQuest, we did absolutely no vacationing as a family this summer. I had a Saturday meeting cancel this last week, opening up our entire weekend. The kids and I did some sneaky planning; then on Friday I packed for five and we kidnapped Allan from work (with his boss's okay). What a great weekend we had! I absolutely love Cannon Beach - the most beautiful and relaxing of the Oregon Coast, in my opinion. We had a cute little hotel, just a close walk to the sand & waves. Best of all was the non-scheduled time with the four people I love and adore most.

So glad you got away, Kristi. You all deserved that and much more.

I had 45 students at George Fox who were in ministry. About 95% of them were not taking days off.

I am a firm believer in sabbaticals, days off, and holidays.

You work too hard!

I'm glad you guys got to relax a little after a crazy summer. The three of us got to "get away" for a few days up at Grandma's house in Tacoma. Not necessarily the same as the beach but it was fun. BTW, did Allan get the chance to chat with about getting together with us this Thursday? I left a message last week but didn't hear back. If this week doesn't work, we can always try again next week. We're really looking forward to getting together with you guys! Take care!

How fun! I am looking forward to going to the coast someday soon when we come to America for a visit. It will be fun for Anaiah to play on the sand and in the water.
Good pics of the fam, but where are you??

Tim - Next Thursday?? Looking forward to it.

Kacie - WOW, that is incredibly...interesting...God-led...something. I go to PUMP - come visit sometime. I'd love to talk to you.

Aimee Jo - of course I'm behind the camera when I can pry it from Allan's hands. :-)

You are doing better than us. We haven't been to the beach since we moved here. We don't really have an excuse. Maybe we will make it next summer...
