First Day of School

My little girl held my handing, skipping along the sidewalk all the way to her new school, Woodlawn Elementary. Her teacher had come to our house last week to meet Trinity, so there was lots of chatter about what Miss Aubrey would do during the day. I'm going to ask Miss Aubrey if we can go out on the playground today! There are twenty or so little munchkins in her class, some dealing with leaving mom or dad better than others. It is a great cultural mix - probably seven Hispanic, seven black and five white. Her first day of pre-k was a success; she questioned all morning about when it would be time to head to school again!

OH go away yucky spammers!

Anyway, yea for Trinity! She looks so pretty on her first day of school! How exciting. It is such a mixed bag of emotions to see them breaking away a little.
Have a great week Trinity!

Its tough watching our children go to school by themselves that first day. Don't know if the separation anxiety is on us or them!

Trinity looks so excited and ready for that first big day of school! She is the kind of child that teachers love to have--attentive, eager to learn, sweet-natured, but I will confess I'm missing the many times of reading stories, our walks in the woods, playing games. Time spent with Trinity has been precious, but now she is off to new horizons. Have fun,Sweet Girl! Love, Grammy
