Low Rider

Thanks to all of you who contributed guesses for the baby date & gender. All of you (except Kaelea who voted for twins - ack!) remain in my good graces for not putting any August dates! The last few days have seen an increase in folks on the street voicing their opinions as to the sex, as well. One hundred percent consensus from strangers is - It's a Boy! They don't care when I explain that I have carried my other two, including a girl, low and out front. It's a Boy! they declare. The lady behind the hotdog counter at Costco, after making such a confident prediction, reached across the counter, felt the side of my belly and boldly concluded, Yep, you've got a little man coming! I wonder how she would have felt had I reached across the counter and patted her belly in return? :-)

It's like your belly is public domain.

I always figured that my belly was closer to the public than it was to me, so at some point it does become public property. :)

oh man, i wish you would have!! i always wanted to do that when i was pregnant. the intelligent part of my brain knows that they are trying to touch the baby... the emotional part of my brain screams "you gotta get through ME."

please please please touch the belly of the next person who does that!

Hmmm? If one has the ability to predict the future by just feeling somebody's belly, they would not be selling hotdogs at Costco - maybe stock on Wall Street. When I feel my tummy, nothing profound jumps into my head, but then that is a given.

Thank you for waiting until the baby comes to find out. There is something special about the surprise that God has given you, and waiting to unwrap it. Whatever the gender, and whenever it arrives it will be loved overflowing. As our family gets bigger, there is more love to share. By-the-way, what about that cousin of yours who just fathered his seventh. Now that brings us a lot of love.

You eat Costco hotdogs?!

I think you should get one of these
Shirts.

Actually, I was ordering a fruit smoothie. I don't have enough room for one of those hot dogs these days!

At least she did it when you're ACTUALLY pregnant. I've seen it happen to someone who wasn't.
